The ‘Tax, Privatisation and the Right to Education: Influencing education financing policy’ is a multi-country project that seeks to ensure that all children have improved access to public education of a high standard financed through greater government support and increases in fair tax revenue. Article 13 of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights guarantees a right of everyone to education, emphasising that education should be made available and accessible, and that there should be a progressive introduction of free access to secondary and higher education.
