On 8 December, the seventh resource in the How-to Child Rights series was launched at an online webinar hosted by Save the Children and featuring a range of speakers including the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights and the Environment, a atate representative, and child rights experts and practitioners from civil society and UN agencies, in a discussion on the importance of following- up to UN human right resolutions.

On 2 November, the Right to Education Initiative (RTE) and partners held an online side event to discuss strengthening the legal frameworks around early childhood care and education (ECCE), with the overarching objective of ensuring universal access to inclusive and quality ECCE. 

International Human Rights Day is a moment to celebrate progress in the protection and promotion of human rights in the year that has been, and to look to the coming year and the opportunities and challenges it poses. 

Between 14-16 November, UNESCO will hold the World Conference on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), hosted by the republic of Uzbekistan in Tashkent, the nation’s capital. 

RTE’s ECCE Programme Manager, Rajakumari Michaelsamy, and Executive Director, Delphine Dorsi will attend the conference to represent RTE and to engage with academics, civil society organisations, and UN and state representatives concerned with this vital educational and developmental stage.
